Artelon® CMC Spacer Surgical Technique
1. ARTELON® CMC Spacer is intended to be implanted into the first carpometacarpal joint (CMC-1) as an interpositional spacer between the trapezial bone and the first metacarpal bone.
2. Soak ARTELON® CMC Spacer in sterile saline for atleast 5 minutes before use.
3. Open the CMC-1 joint with a dorsal incision.

Artelon® CMC Spacer Arthro Surgical Technique
Preparation: Soak the ARTELON® CMC Spacer Arthro in sterile saline solution (0.9 percentage NaCl) at room temperature for at least 5 minutes before use. Access the CMC joint arthroscopically through two ports (Figure 1). Be aware that the radial artery and superficial radial nerve are in close proximity to the portal sites (Figure 2).

Avanta Total Wrist Implant System Surgical Technique
Design Rationale
The Avanta Total Wrist Implant is a prosthesis anatomically designed for minimal resection of the distal radius and carpal bones of the wrist. The implant is provided in left and right hand configurations with geometrically scaled sizes that approximate the anthropomorphic sizes of different radiocarpal joints.

Stability Sigmoid Notch
The ulnar incision is made along the ulnar or medial shaft of the distal ulna in line with the ulnar styloid. The extensor retinaculum is incised along the medial border of the distal ulna between the extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU) and flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU).
