Caldwell Biomedical Electronics offers custom design of biomedical research instrumentation as well as several standard instruments for cardiovascular and neurophysiological research. These devices include pressure and force transducer amplifiers (bridge amps), biopotential amplifiers, animal temperature controllers, microperfusion pumps, electrical, mechanical and thermal stimulators, and biotelemetry systems.
All of our instuments are self-contained, non-modular and 120 VAC wall-current powered. Our tansducer amplifiers will input any half-bridge or full-bridge resistive pressure or force (or other parameter) transducer, such as the older Grass or Statham models and the newer semiconductor types. Full instuctions on inputting any bridge-type resistive transducer are included in the amplifier instruction and technical manual.
Our design and fabrication services can provide custom-designed electronic instrumentation for specialized physiological research. We have design experience in ultrasonic blood flow measurement, implanted cardiovascular instrumentation, computer data acquisition, biotelemetry and several other areas.
